“After visiting about 20 condominium developments in Minneapolis and St. Paul, we decided to purchase a two-bedroom condo at the Groveland. There are a myriad of reasons why we chose The Groveland, but I will mention just a few:
The location is ideal for a couple like ourselves who want to be close to art, theater, and other cultural events. With bus transportation nearly at our doorstep and light rail being easily accessible, we will be close to nearly everything we need. In fact, we will only need one car which will be parked in a heated underground lot - another plus for living at the Groveland.
We were quite satisfied with the competitive price of the condo. We especially appreciated how many of the features, which are considered upgrades at other developments, are standard at the Groveland. For example, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances are standard.
Also pleasing to us is the design of this concrete constructed building including its beautiful atrium and common spaces. Having a fitness and party room is also a draw. The landscaping, including a reflecting pool with a fountain, will provide a delightful view for us and a welcoming outdoor area to relax.
I must add how honest and professional the Groveland staff has been throughout the process of buying our condo. “We were looking for a way to enhance our living experience by moving into an urban environment. After living most of our lives in the Western suburbs, we were ready for a change and felt that if we didn't make a choice now when we could still enjoy all the opportunities that Minneapolis offers, we would never make the move. We were tired of making excuses for driving into the city to take advantage of the energy and activities it provides.
The Groveland was a beautiful solution to our decision to move downtown. We were impressed from the moment we entered the “model” and met Tracy Gazett. She led us through a well thought-out presentation of all that the Groveland offers its residents. We were pleased to see the variations in the floor plans as well as what we perceived as a very good value for the real estate offered. We never felt rushed or pressured - only pleasantly informed.
Since we were new to the downtown scene we appreciated the fact that the Groveland staff sponsored a "get acquainted" barbecue for new owners, prospective owners, and interested guests. We were able to meet some of our new neighbors, share stories, compare histories, and chat about our new adventure - living downtown at a beautiful new building.
